The B-25J Mitchell is the first twin-engine scale model from Hangar 9, and what a model it is. Awesome scale detail with superb flight characteristics it's based on a full size B-25J "Mitch the Witch" that is housed at the Palm Springs Air Museum in California. This model has so many scale features and details that even the most dedicated scale modeller would find it difficult to replicate without spending many hours of time consuming construction. These features include lightweight fibreglass engine nacelles complete with dummy radial engines, radiator scoops, gun-turrets with .50 calibre machine gun packs, pre-painted greenhouse style canopies and an olive drab and grey colour scheme complete with accurate "Mitch the Witch" markings and nose art. The airframe is constructed from laser cut balsa and plywood and even though the model has a large eighty-inch wingspan thanks to this type of construction the wing loading is relatively light, giving the B-25J very gentle flight characteristics.Working flaps allow for easier and take off's and slower more scale like landings. The B-25J Mitchell features a bolt on tail section and a two-piece wing for easy transport and assembly at the flying field. Designed to fly with a pair of .36-.40 two-stroke engines or .52 four stoke engines, the model can alternatively be powered with twin electric outrunner motors. The removable lower belly hatch provides easy access to the large battery compartment. The comprehensive hardware pack comes complete with all the necessary conversion hardware should you wish to go "electric" and Hangar 9's usual photo illustrated assembly guide takes you step by step through assembly whilst keeping assembly time to a minimum so you can get this fantastic warbird in the air as quickly as possible. | Tech Spec | | Wingspan | 2050mm (80.7 inch) | | Length | 1600mm (63 inch) | | Weight | 6.1-7.0kg (13.5-15.5lb) | | Radio | | Engine | .36-.40 2-stroke 52 4-stroke | | Motor | Power 46 BL Outrunner | | Radio | 6 channels minimum | | Servos | 10 servos 11 with retracts | | Flaps | Yes |
